Document a Loading Area’s Return-to-Service Decision
A loading area may carry pedestrians, carts, delivery vehicles and concentrated equipment loads. “Open tomorrow” is incomplete unless the instruction identifies the permitted use and the work area. Discuss the handoff before mobilization so the owner can plan operations around the actual repair requirements.
Describe the required service
Ask the owner to identify ordinary and unusual traffic, turning or stopping locations and the route around the work. Match these details to the agreed repair boundary. Do not treat permission for pedestrian use as permission for equipment or vehicle loading.
Retain the release instruction
Record who supplied the project-specific instruction, which conditions or records it references and what restrictions remain. Communicate it to the operating contact. This worksheet does not create a standard cure time or replace any required technical or safety review.
Copyable worksheet
Use one row for each field. Mark unknown information clearly and retain the original records.

Worked example
Illustrative example: a dock approach can reopen for one defined use while an adjoining repaired edge remains restricted. A marked handoff prevents the entire area from being treated as fully available because one part has been released.
