Confirm the Power Arrangement Before Mobilizing Concrete Preparation Equipment
A promise that power is available does not establish that a worksite can support the preparation equipment planned for the repair. Before mobilization, connect the actual equipment requirements to an arrangement reviewed by the responsible people. This avoids an improvised electrical change or an unreviewed substitute method on arrival.
Identify the actual equipment package
Include the preparation tool and any extraction or supporting equipment that must operate with it. Supply the relevant manufacturer requirements to the site contact rather than only asking whether there is an outlet nearby. Do not assume that a tool used successfully at another property will have a suitable supply at this one.
Have the arrangement reviewed
The appropriate electrical and site personnel should resolve supply, protection, routing and access questions under applicable requirements. OSHA’s construction electrical provisions address temporary wiring and protection of cords. This guide does not specify a circuit, authorize adapters or give installation instructions. Do not defeat protection, improvise connections or substitute a combustion-powered tool indoors simply because the planned supply is unavailable.
Link readiness to the work method
Confirm who provides the agreed arrangement and when it must be ready. If it changes, revisit the equipment, dust-control and operating plan before proceeding. A different tool may change more than productivity. Keep the crew’s method consistent with the accepted scope and appropriate safety review. The partner’s mobilization decision can then reflect a verified dependency rather than a vague assumption that someone will find a way to power the equipment.

Worked example
Illustrative example: a fictional crew plans a preparation tool and extraction equipment for an occupied facility. The site review identifies an unresolved supply question before arrival. Mobilization remains conditional rather than relying on borrowed adapters or an unreviewed replacement tool.
